LCS#6 - L'hystérie de Blanche Wittman

A l'occasion de la semaine du cerveau 2021, je vous propose de plonger dans le Paris du 19ème siècle à la découverte de l'un des plus grands scientifiques de son temps, Jean-Martin Charcot.

Les médecins autour de lui, à la Salpêtrière, ont permis de grandes découvertes en neurologie et en psychiatrie. Aujourd'hui, nous ne nous intéresserons pas à ces médecins. Penchons nous plutôt vers le personnage principal de ce tableau... Marie Wittman, ou "Blanche", la reine des hystériques. De quel trouble contesté et mystérieux souffre-t-elle ? Comment explique-t-on l'hystérie de nos jours ?
